Prior to founding LangLeven, Annick-Isabelle was responsible for the high end group of fitness clubs: Mansfield Athletic Clubs, Hard Candy Fitness Toronto, Aura Fitness Toronto. In charge of operations, profitability and growth, she had given herself the mandate to make fitness fun and valuable.
Previously, she was at the head of a division of the Private Wealth Group of BMO Harris Private Banking, which aimed at the development of structured strategies offered to ultra-high net worth clients of BMO Financial group.
She has accumulated experience in the financial markets, equity research, institutional sales and trading, and investment management with major financial institutions such as the Montreal Exchange, HSBC Securities, Westwind Partners, SWIFT and has worked throughout Belgium, Chicago, Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Hautes Études Commerciales and a McGill-HEC Executive MBA.
As an athlete, AIM obtained 3 national titles in cycling and a world masters championship title in time trial. She has qualified for the September 2017 and 2019 ITU triathlon world championships.
Leonard rooted himself in the fitness industry as the Co-Founder of 24 Hour Fitness Centers, which grew to become the world’s largest health-club chain with more than 420 clubs and 20,000 employees. He has been the force behind multiple successful transactions, positioning himself as a world authority in the sector. He is also the co-founder of multiple fitness clubs in Canada such as Steve Nash Sports clubs in B.C. and Mrs. Sporty with over 600 fitness centers in Europe.
It is through the combination of fitness and finance that he hopes to continue making a lasting impact as he regularly partakes in start-ups in the wellness, health and fitness fields. Over the past 30 years, Leonard has made over 40 private equity investments in companies across a variety of industries. As a transactional expert, he excels in finding growth opportunities and leading them to maximized value.
Prior to becoming a force in the fitness industry, equipped with a CA background, Leonard worked as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Co and holds an MBA from Harvard University.
Leonard is an avid runner, having participated twice in the Boston marathon and is looking to requalify in 2017.
Farid is an Internet e-commerce pioneer and Chief Technologist at LangLeven.
He developed the first North American online grocery shopping site in 1996 for IGA supermarkets. As a “digital transformationalist,” he works with executives to transform their business using digital technology. He publishes a blog on the digital transformation of businesses at http://fmcs.digital/blog.
At LangLeven, he brings his engineering and technology experience to develop our sports industry platform and to lead the consulting practice.
Earlier in his career, Farid was an executive with CGI and Capgemini, two large technology consulting firms, where he gained experience in the financial, manufacturing and retail industries.
He holds a Masters in Applied Science in Microelectronics from Polytechnique Montréal.
David brings a versatile and well-rounded expertise to the LangLeven team. He started his career in investment banking at CIBC World Markets where he worked on multiple merger and acquisition deals as well as debt and equity financings in technology, media and telecommunications.
David then went on to co-found Training Mobs, the first community-based fitness marketplace in North America, where he built a network of hundreds of independent fitness studios and thousands of trainers in 7 cities across Canada and the United-States.
David furthered his passion for wellness by joining LIFT Digital as Chief Operating Officer, where he is currently developing partnerships with Fortune 500 organizations and helping the company reach millions lives.
David holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance with Honours from John Molson School of Business at Concordia University.
